Bobby Baker and David Thomas founded the café in 1992 following successful careers as
Our bartenders are famous for their martinis, and we offer over 20 wines by the glass, as well as local brews. Our professional and friendly staff is committed to ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of our guests. We are open for lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch; reservations are encouraged. The River Garden is fun and upbeat: The food is fantastic, the service is friendly, attentive and professional, and the ambiance is irresistible. The owners are always there, and it seems like they know most diners on a first name basis - sometimes it seems like all of the guests know each other as well. If you like excellent food in great surroundings with music like Dave Brubeck or Ella in the background, then The River Garden Café is for you. In 2008, Nick Ouellette and Ann Lachance took over for Bobby and David. They are continuing the tradition of bringing high quality food to the table while adding their own flare and “taste” to the menu with popular standards and new offerings. Chef Travis Chapman worked at The River Garden for six years and returned to The River Garden when it reopened. Before that, he was at the Tamarack Grille for two years, and ran the Tip Top Cafe in White River Junction for a year. Join us for Dinner, Lunch or Sunday Brunch! |
